I have a 90 mustang GT with a 306 and running a procharger,I'm about to upgrade all the suspension front and rear but was wondering is the Q1A stuff better than say like UPR I was gonna go with UPR but just wondering is any better than the other? And what advantages are the shorter aarms? Hoping to buy in next couple weeks, Thanks a lot for the help in advance

I wouldn't do either. I like and use Team Z stuff, great company to deal with and a lot of racers use their stuff. A lot of other guys use wolfe craft, and TRZ too.

UPR makes good stuff and it's not that expensive. I've got their stuff and I recommend them. My buddy Ed has been running their stuff for years in his 8.0 mustang and hasn't had any problems.
He is the last car to run , also note that this is on a 275 drag radial.

A lot of people bash on UPR, but haven’t really used their parts. They just repeat what “people say”, I can say from personal experience that UPR does make a decent product, not the best, but most defiantly good parts, with the exception of some parts.
Now with that said, the Q1A is a good k-member kit for a drag application. Its nice and light weight, which is why it’s not great for a road course set up, it’ll be to flimsy. |

I helped a friend put that QA1 tubular front kit in his fox and I have a complete Team Z front kit in mine. The Team Z kit is lighter by a little bit, the welds are 100 times better, and the fitment was a lot better. In the end, it's not really a whole lot more money for much better parts. Plus I'll take my adjustable strange struts any day of the week over those QA1 non adjustables.

there all good companies that stand behind there products and you'll see race cars running pretty much all brands. With that said you'll hear good things and bad things about each company so pick one with in your price range with the options you seek and research it.
some k members move the wheels forward an inch about to improve steering geometry where as most just put the wheels in the oem location. also I believe qa1 is the only k that allows you to use either your stock a arms or tubular where else everyone else makes you have to convert to tubular for lack of upper spring perches. Actually I know pa racing overs it too if you ask them. I have a qa1 and upr on my cars currently and both fit fine and have over a year's worth or more of street driving on them without issues. I have friends with racecraft and pa racing and they love theres too. Coilover kit wise, upr will work but it's def not the best. I would recommend the Strange coilover kit(sleeve is much thicker) and strange struts/shocks as qa1's settings are as expanded and don't last too long but are rebuildable where as the strange aren't.

Expensive compared to what???? Just to refresh my memory I checked Team Z pricing against UPR. Most Team Z stuff runs the same price or up to $10 more when comparing the same parts. Team Z stuff fits good, its light and strong. I've used alot of the stuff that is out there. The only stuff I would use on any car I put my hands on would be Team Z, Wolfe or Skinny Kid.

they didn't account for the brake lines on the passenger side and the mounts where the spring perches were factory didn't line up perfect. Took a little finessing with a mini sledge to work it into place.
