what about a lighting motor


i wanted to know how hard it would be to fit a ford f150 lightning motor in a 5.0 92 gt and how hard they are to get

i got a buddy with a lightnin block for sale, machined and everything ready to be put together.


The blocks arent anything different, just gt 40 heads and intake come stock on them

you could even swap in a 5.4mod motor with a S/C like the 99 and later.
just look up project Frightening from one of the mustang mags online

To answer your question directly it is a 351W block, not an issue. At some point you will need to get around the issue with headers should you decide to go full length, but that usually seems to be sticky sometimes anyhoo.

You can change the mounts on the K member. How would I know? I run Windsors.

you use stock 5.0 mounts, youll prob have to get an aftermarket hood.

Convertible mounts will drop the motor another 3/4 of an inch or so. But stock K member and motor mounts are what Ive always used with no problems
