The x306 heads are aluminum and that price is for one head on summit. If you're spending 900 on a set of heads, you might as well get something that flows a little better than an aluminum variant of a stock head.

Yea if your gonna spend real money then get the good stuff like AFR 165 heads. For cheap you can get those explorer heads and have them freshend up and add 1.7 rockers on them.

I just put on GT40P heads and 1.7 RR this past weekend and I can feel a difference. Picked up some HP (dunno how much, guesstimate would be around 40-50ish). Remember to upgrade your springs if you go this route. Also, you might wanna look into taller valve covers... I think mine are tapping a touch.

the svo j, y and x and even z heads can be found over on corral.net's classifies section pretty often anywhere from $500 and up but if your going to dump 800 hun up you might as well save two more and purchase some tfs heads

gt40s are just glorified STOCK heads. they may be an improvement over the latemodel 5.0s E7te heads, but they are still stock heads. for the money youll spend for gt40s and to have them re-done, your better off just picking up some AFR or TFS heads....
