pile wont stop running hot!

i know this has been beaten into the ground, and i did do a search but didnt help me. i have a 94 cobra, when its cool outside my car runs fine. but once it gets warm its runs hot. when i run MIX the fan runs constant, i can run mix and full heat and my car still taps out the temp, WTF is it. ive had this problem for as while now and my temp gauge fluctuates from the "o" to the red once its gets up around the "L" it stays between that and the red, even at 70mph in 5th, once i stop its starts to cool but then just blasts right up to red again. please help im about to sell the car im so frustrated

Is the car actually running hot or do you have a gauge problem? Try changing the temp sensor first.. Change the thermostat also..

Have you had the cooling system pressure tested? If not, you need to start there.

i thought there might of been a gauge problem, but then the car started to run rough so it was that hot. I think it may be a clug in the radiator, 111K are on it. how do i scan the OBD-II system. can i buy one or do i have to take it to a shop? all pressure testing will do is tell me if the rad. is shot right? I ordered a new rad. and lower hose/spring. if that doesnt solve the issue what would i look at next. ODD-II?

it sounds like you have air in the cooling system, air pockets do that, or your belt is junk. belts can have 4 cracks per inch. try either one

you can go to auto zone and they will do it for free. Do you have any codes?
Pressure testing wil tell you if you have a clog and if you have a leak somewhere and i think more.

Well if it the stock rad I would be willing to bet thats your prob.. Make sure you put a new rad. cap on too..
Let us know.. Oh yeah if you dont get antifreeze thats pre-mixed make sure you mix with distilled water...

What kind of rad did you buy? Is it a stock one or an aluminum aftermarket one?
