Long Tube Headers

I was sort of shocked by the price of the Kooks product. Are they really that much better than the other manufacturers out there? I was pondering doing things a little different this time with this motor. But not sure I want to do it for an additional $300 different. Anyone have a valid argument for cost on these?

Kooks is a very good quality set of headers. If theyre ceramicoated you could expect to pay around 150 bucks more.

For a long tube swap, it's probly not worth all the money, unless your pushing really high horsepower. I'd leave the shorties on and spend that money somewhere else. I have long tubes and I'm not overall impressed by them.

BBK will suit you fine! I have NEVER heard about problems with them. I personally do not think it is worth the extra dough, but if you want to spend money, it is yours to spend.

Building 750rwhp, so shorties have never entered into the equation. I do however appreciate your input. I have never ran short's my question was geared specifically towards the long tubes I have ran on the past 8 motors I have ran and how they weigh against the Kooks, because they musy be made of Kryptonite to cost what they do.

Kooks makes badass headers they pay attention to flow and pulse reverberation, they usually have many bends and are hand made. they have tensioned collectors just in case you almost melt them, those are a few reasons why they cost so much.

Cool, now that's what I was looking for some technical explaination. Cause dayum...I went to the website shopped around and thought "they look like my usual headers just prettier" lol I do not know anyone who runs them so I had nobody to give me any actual info. I appreciate the help man.

Kooks headers are worth the money. I've run a few sets of them in the past. They are very good quality and fit very nice.

Well one thing I did notice is the huge variety they had in regads to deck heights and head types.

No matter what header you go with I recommend getting them ceramic coated.
