throttle


Hey just joined how are all the mustang freaks doing? any slight problem maybe someone can answer. Throttle seems to be hard or sticky when you first push on it and every time you let off then back on again,only when the engine is running thow, works just fine when engine is off????

welcome the MM.


you could check your throttle cable out .. maybe clean up some of the dirt between the cable mount and the t/b.

adjust it ... ect

i had something like that problem. the pedal wouldnt moved down with out really pushing it. turned out the butterfly valve was getting stuck shut. my idle was messed up tho and the valve was totally shut. look into the throttle body(clean it, inspect it) look in to the throttle cable ect.

if you cranked your throttle down too far they tend to stick.
