I Need --if it exists-- Any Form of Temporary Muffler Silencer

Where I'm from, you can't renew your car's registration if you've got any sound-enhancing muffler. Public disturbance, they call it, regardless of it being the eardrum-piercing Flowmaster or the mellow Magnaflow. It just has to be stock, period, because they're very strict about that sort of thing around here. I've got Magnaflows equipped that I've already been pulled over for. My registration's deadline is near and I'm gonna have to renew soon, which ain't happening unless I switch to stock mufflers which I really, really don't want to do since everything's welded on. Is there anything at all I can install temporarily just to pass the registration renewal test? Anything? I heard about these controlled valves that vary the mufflers' volume would that be suitable? Thanks in advance.

ps: They don't even care about emissions. I could emit the same toxins out of my tailpipe as a volcano and they wouldn't give a hoot. All they're strict about is sound

I agree that a stock catback is going to be the best bet though, I just don't know if you can jump on your local Kuwait craigslist and post up a wanted ad for a stock Mustang catback and get many bites

They don't even know what craigslist is in these whereabouts heh. But I've got a U.S P.O box and I have ordered items that have been shipped internationally.

Ok so 1st of all, is changing the catalytic converter really gonna decrease the volume by a sufficient amount? I thought all the ruckus comes primarily from the muffler?
2nd of all, I came across this inventory, which of these is what I'm looking for, and why?

A set of catalytic converters is not going to change the sound much. If you are going to add or do anything to make it quieter, get a set of any "turbo" or "super turbo" style mufflers and use clamps so you can easily swap back and forth.

Just go buy a stock muffler. Cut the welds, clamp on the stock for inspection, then reweld on the flowmaster for $20.

No idea if theres anything similar that'd work on Mustangs but I know on my buddys integra he used to have this funnel shaped thing that went into the tip to quiet it down...

This is the ghettoest thing I've thought about, but why don't you cut the tip and clamp any stock muffler there. Leaving the flowmaster in there also

Hah that's one pointless WOOHOO mod! Anyways thanks for all the advice and when piecing them all together I've come up with this idea: how about i purchase a stock cat along with the rest of the works til the tailpipe, that way I'd be able to swap through exhausts by screwing and unscrewing, no need to cut and re-weld. And since I'm only gonna need it for this one inspection, I guess something from the scrapyard would do just fine, yeah? Unless they weld cats as well, that'd complicate things
