what other modds are you talking about? i have 373 gears, shorty headers, i plan on throwing an x pipe on there, i have a smog pump delete thats going to be put on. i have underdrive pulleys, catback exhaust.. subframe connectors, lower control arms, slotted rotors, new pads, new tires (not radials) which i need to upgrade too... what else is there to do? i know i gotta do the cam, but i wanna wait til im completely done is what everyones telling me...

If you put on some heads and the x-pipe, bigger MAF bigger TB you should be good. and your gears was a good mod. maybe even an electric fan will free up a little more power but every thing else you mentioned doesnt add power,, All i was trying to say was if the intake is the only modd you have then you wont see that much extra power.

The explorer intakes are identical to the cobra intakes, excpet that they're cheaper. I have an explorer intake that is ported and polished and it ran me 320$

The explorer does not have the built it ERG spacer like the cobra. thats another 50+ dollars. as far as flow there the same and they both use the same lower intake also the tubular GT40 intake also uses the same lower intake.

Id say that the explorer intake is normaly are cheaper because they were so common and standard OEM equipment on explorers. but if you can get a cobra intake for $200 id go with that

so i bought the cobra intake. as well as accufab 70mm tb. 30lb injectors matched to a 75mm maf. and a tfs1 cam.. now im debating on gt40 heads completely re done from a buddy of mine, theyre iron, hes saying 450. im trying to get him down to 400. then i'll need to pickup a timing chain, roller rockers and pushrods i was told? and be ready to go
