I think its the mass air meter, when I had a pro-m mass air meter mine did the same thing. swapped to c&l meter and never heard the whistle again.
Could be CAI also

as far as you idle goes, swap out out your idle air motor and it that doesn't help try bumping your idle up to 850. sometimes when your idle is to low and you let off the throttle the iac motor sends the car into a surge trying to catch back up. i know it sounds stupid but it worked when i had that problem. as far as the whistle i have heard it on some and not on others and never found out what it was. good luck

The cold whistles because its sucking in so much air through the small screen holes of your filter that it causes that effect

I think i found it

its on the bottom of the throttle bodywhere the linkage hooks up

the throttle plate where it meets the shaft

try this wiggle the throttle bracket back and forth and see if the pitch changes

let me know your findings

If you bump up your idle, you need to check the voltage on the TPS afterwards and make sure you adjust it back to .98 volts. Adjusting the throttle screw will throw the voltage off.

what intake are you using....if your using a stocker and use a 65mm you will have the whistle as the intake T/B opening needs to be opened up
