Whats Next Step to Speed

I have a 1992 Mustang GT with dyno max exhaut, headers, X pipe, mac intake, Corbra Upper and Lower intake manifold. What is the next step for increase horshpower. I was thinking about cams or gears. What would work good for my car and how much does it usally cost.

cam swap would probably be cheaper than a gear swap overall.....but it also depends on if you are doing it yourself also. most places charge anywhere fron $275-$400 to put a set of gears in as for swapping a cam i have no idea on labor cost for that. i could almost guarantee you would see a bigger improvement on your timeslips with a gear swap than with a cam swap though. also depends on what kind of tranny you have. if you do a bigger cam then you might have to get a stall convertor if you have an automatic. as for the gears anywhere from 3.73 to a 4.11 would show a big difference

You need to let your pony breathe. Cam is kinda useless with stock heads. Heads +Cam = Good.

Nitrous! FTW!! Cheap and easy... I am not an advocator of nitrous, but it is a very big bang for the buck.

Gears will most def show the greatest time improvement, like 83five0 said, but an H/C swap will benefit in the long run, just like Haggis said, especially if you plan a major poweradded. Ie; Supercharger or Turbo...

Darrell brought up a good point too; how much $ ya got?

Question: are you wanting control and speed or just balls out, god I hope my car goes straight, power?

If you are planning on actually hooking up, do your suspension.

Um, guys, the next time you feel like posting to this thread, hold a sea shell up to your ear. You get the same effect, the thread is over a year old and the topic creator hasn't posted anywhere on MM in just as much time.
