Dealer installed vs Factory installed AC?
Is dealer installed ac rare on a Fox body? Just curious as to the prevalence of cars that came with dealer ac vs factory ac. Tried searching, but came up empty. Thanks...

Wt do you mean by dealer vs factory, isn't that the same exact thing? A lot of fox bodys have ac deletes but a lot have complete working ac systems just depends on what the previous owner did to the car.

Well, for example:
The serpentine belt required for "Factory Installed AC" is a K060905. The serpentine belt required for "Dealer Installed AC" is a shorter belt, K060875. According to both Gates and Bando catalogs, a 1992 Mustang 5.0 came with two different AC options. |

Weird... Learned something new today. Though I really can't imagine what would have been different.

2 months and some change... Jan 7th. Hoping for anytime in Dec for the tax credit. Horrible I know, lol. First time when they checked her blood to find out she was pregnant, they said Dec 11th because of the amount of hormone in her blood. Then they tried to Ultra sound in the early stages to see how far along she was, they couldn't see anything so they said Jan 7th and stuck with that. So I say anywhere in between.

I've bought maybe 10 belts for my mustang over the last few years and I've never been asked with factory ac or dealer ac when they look up the belt size. I don't know that just seems really wierd

The dealer installed air uses a different compressor. Ive never seen one in person but im sure somewhere out there someone bought a non ac car and wanted ac after the fact.
