I Know this is A dumb Question.. 94 Cobra

Well started work on cleaning the engine bay.... ABS gone.... over next day will be the smog motor, now for my dumb ass question

(keep in mind I am from Australia and just moved to the USA) To lose the AC or not ???

I will be using her as a daily driver, over the next week or so I will be dropping a turbo in... I like my comfort but I do want her mean. So I am in two minds, I don't like the AC pipes coming of the rad.

On a second note, with the turbo going in, is it worth keeping the oil cooler ??

What part of the US do you live in? Have you lived there through a summer? If so, and you can deal with it - go for it. Just remember... AC won't take power away when it's not in use, but if it's strickly for looks, then I hear ya... That's why I pitched mine.

i'm sure the oil cooler would be a good idea to keep. the a/c is all up to you tho, it won't impact performance enough for you to notice, maybe a couple hp? the a/c condensor always shuts off when you go wot anyways it's just like having an extra pulley there. will your turbo kit even work with the a/c? some don't.

I'm in somerset ky, and have been here for 9 mths now... as for the Turbo I know I'm going to get mixed remarks on this but I'm going with a boostbrothers kit for now, but will change the turbo later to a Turbonetics or Garrett.

from what i heard the boost borthers kit wasn't all that bad just the turbo was cheap chinese and don't last or make good power. so swap it with a garrett and you might wanna wrap the hot side piping just to avoid possible cracking.

I would say that you should be able to turbo the car WITH AC and it be mean. If you can't do that, you're doing something wrong.

Getting heat tape from Summit for the hot side, may look at moving / Mod A/C lines... just make the bay look so packed.

If its a DD i say keep the AC. KY can get pretty hot in the Summer time and i love my AC, but thats just my opinion.

Ummmm hope I'm not interrupting you 2...lol but look's like going to have to move the oil cooler or relocate it. As for the A/C it stay's for now will just tidy up the lines..
