what gauges recommended with adding charger


Adding vortec, is boost and fuel/air gauge wideband recommended??

boost is a must, i recommend a wideband if you pushing the limits of your fuel system.

Ok, thats what I was thinking, but wasnt sure about the wideband vs something else that might be useful.

Egt gauge is popular also.. also run good quality O2 sensors. most widebands use a newer style bosch

wideband uses far better electronics and is far more sensitive than a narrow band item. thus they respond faster to changes in air/fuel therefore very accurate. if you run 16+ (3bar+) psi this is a def needed item.

Definitely run a wideband air fuel. You will want to know where your air/fuel ratio is for sure. Unless of course you're looking for a reason to do an engine rebuild. I have a Vortech V3 only running 5# and have a wideband, fuel pressure, and vac/boost gauge. I'm happy with them. Just my 2 cents.

Those are the only two you really need, i did a write up on a boost gauge install if you dont know how to, and if you have any questions about the wideband shoot me a pm. the only other gauge i may think about is a oil pressure gauge.
