A chain is better but if you insist on having the noise then go with a gear drive. I've run them before with no problems. They do transfer harmonics but in a street application its not a big deal.

Ok thanks, I've never run them and the shop guys I rent my garage from are all old school and they told me horror stories.

if you want a cool sound save up for a super charger. then you won't need a gear drive

they wont hurt your motor... darrell, i heard that some chains have problems with stretching & thats why they made up gear drives.. is that true?

oh ya they can wipe out a motor, tear the snout right off the crank and actually ruin the heads too. i got my set from a buddy who had them on his blown 355 and they ripped his eddy heads to shreds!
