Gear drive?

Just wondering everyones opinion on gear drive. I want it cause I love the sound but I've heard bad things. Like it transfers a lot of harmonics, or if something in the top end goes you dont have a chain to break so it just grinds everything up till it stops moving. Anybody had any bad luck with gear drive?

A chain is better but if you insist on having the noise then go with a gear drive. I've run them before with no problems. They do transfer harmonics but in a street application its not a big deal.

if you want a cool sound save up for a super charger. then you won't need a gear drive

oh ya they can wipe out a motor, tear the snout right off the crank and actually ruin the heads too. i got my set from a buddy who had them on his blown 355 and they ripped his eddy heads to shreds!
