No. Ponys are 7 inches wide. You can't put an 11.6 inch tire on that. The biggest effective tire on a pony is a 235. You just payed a lot of money for that turbo of yours, just buy two 9 inch wheels and put those desired 295s on. Why 295s anyway? That seems like a random number. More common is a 275.

I'm sure your car can be setup to run on that tire too, if you're doubting that size. A guy I know ran 8.0X's on a 275 DR.

my only question is will they fit without any issues...I need to know cause I already ordered them and have 30 minutes to change the tire...lol

I really need a taller tire so I can get a few more mph out of 4th gear, but i need a sticky tire too...

what would be best that would fit my pony car 4 lug rim and be taller and sticky??

no. not at all. You dont need such a wide tire, its not going to help you at all.

As yourself this... Why wold my 500hp car need a tire thats damn near a 12" section width, when 700-900hp cars are running 8's on 10.5" wide tires.

Ever heard of Outlaw 10.5? Get some 275/60/15's and call it a day.

yes, that means you should get rid of the pony's (they are too heavy anyway)

I agree. Just cant find a 255 in a 27-28 inch size. I switched my order to the 255 26inch et streets.

My problem is my rear gear (373). I barely top out 4th at the end of the 1/4 and a slightly taller tire would fix that problem.

Trying to solve it by not replacing the rear gear.

Outlaw 10.5.. They run 10.5W which is a 12inch wide tire but it is also 33 inches tall, nothing even close to what you could run on a stock suspension mustang. Not to mention 2500+ horsepower..

Right now in the extreme 275 class, there are people running low 7's in the 1/4 on 275/60-15 Mickey Thompson drag radials. I have that same sizr tire on my car and my car is lowered a few inches, but I had to roll the fenders and massage the inner fender some. I run 295/50-15 street tires with noe problems..

well I got the 255/50R16 ET street radials...they are hooking up on the street!!!! and they look sick! 11 inches wide compared the 9 inches wide of the Nitto.

thanks for the advice guys...rear gear soon (327) and that will solve most of my track problems.
