shutting down........?

its raining out and as i was driving home it shut off for not even a second then started up on its own then did it about 3 or 4 more times close to each other.....

any ideas why?

Well im assuming it didnt completely shut down (ie 0rpm motor stopped) then start running again. So i would guess you got some wet ignition components. Should be able to unplug things and blow them out so everything is dry then put it all back, maybe put some dielectric grease to keep things a little more water tight.
