Estimated HP?

Well ive managed to get a new motor that will be going in my 81 stang. I encountered a problem with the one that i had intended to put in, but managed to find a friend of a friend selling a long block that im going to go with. Just curious what you guys would estimate that it would put to the wheels. Its going to be going through a t5 with a centerforce DF clutch. So curious what you guys would think, and if id lose much switching the intake to a performer rpm air-gap. It is carbed and will be staying that way.

Block - 89 Block - Decked 0.05 in the hole, LineBored, Fully Studded with ARP
Crank - Scat 9000
Rods - Scat 4340
Pistons - Mahle Coated
Cam - Track Max 293/ 290,Lift .542/ .563
Heads - TFS Track Heat 170
Intake - Edelbrock Victor Jr
Compression - 10.8:1
Push Rods - TFS Hardened
Rockers c/w posilocks - Scorpion 1.6
ARP Studded block and heads
Double Roller Chain
Stud Girdle
Melling Oil Pump
ARP Pump Drive
SFI Balancer

Good call, I assumed 302/306 since it wasn't mentioned.

I guess when I saw that he bought a SCAT crank and rods with Mahle pistons it was probably a stroker of some kind!

I give around or maybe a little more than the 320ish because of the higher compression depeding on how fast it is spinning. I could be wrong.

Apparently i do have a memory like you, its a 331. Everything has gone ahead for me picking it up so it will be sitting in my garage within a week or 2. Im still just tossing about the idea of swapping the vic jr 4bbl intake thats on it for a performer rpm air-gap 4bbl intake.

A 331 should be making about 350RWHP with that setup then. With the right supporting mods (gears, transmission etc.) you could run lower 11's.
