mounting points?

mounting points?


im pullin my motor out of my 92 lx... where are some good mounting points to lift it out by.... do i just use the bolt holes where the upper intake bolts to the lower intake?

if you have any old head bolts laying around use them, front of driver side head and rear of pass side head, or vice versa. Head bolts screw in perfectly where the holes are for accesory brackets, done it this way past 3 times

I've used the holes in the lower intake many times, but I do wonder if that is such a good idea.

i really didnt want to pull the heads off to do this... im mainly pullin the motor cause im pullin the trans to replace the clutch. so i figured i would paint it and clean up the compartment... any other sugestions

With what 93hatch said you don't need to pull the heads.

95pony....not tryin to be stupid but please explain... just remove the valve covers and then where do i bolt the chains?

don't remove valve covers. remove accessories, power steering, ac, etc.. use the bolt hole that held these on and corresponding hole in head at opposite corner.

no no no not physically use the existing head bolts, I used head bolts as an option cuz theyre the same thread size as the front accesorys
