If I remove all the air bag crash sensors and steering wheel, will my car start and run properly?

Your car will run fine. DO NOT remove the airbag or its sensors with the battery hooked up. It will trip an airbag code in the computer that may or may not reset when you reinstall the airbag and sensors. If it doesnt you will have to go to the dealer or a shop with an airbag computer that will work for OBD I and have them reset it for you.

The srs is a stand alone system for a heads up if your looking to install an aftermarket steering wheel you will need to get an older column out of an 87-88 that did't have an airbag because they don't make an adapter for a air bag column the are shaped differant on the ends of the shaft where the wheel bolts on.I went thru this on mine check ebay momo makes the best.

You can remove it all. I removed mine and I run a Grant steering wheel with a quick release hub. You just need to have someone weld the adapter on the steering shaft. Not a big deal.
