the last KC clutch I drove had a heavier pedal. and it wasnt the only one.

and holding power? HA. 15k miles in my friends GT and it was slipping like a motherfucker. wouldnt even hold a 75 shot on a stock engine.

my spec however, 22k miles, and it still grabs like new, even behind my 347

subscribed.

I have read more than enough about spec clutches being a POS. I do not have any first hand experiences with them.

I was going to do a ram stock replacement or a king cobra on mine. I am keepin it cheap for now because I hope to have something different brewing under the hood in a year or so.

Spec clutches, just like any other kevlar lined clutch, gets a bad name because of "clutch chatter". Ultimately, this is caused by either using a flywheel with a burned or not fresh friction surface, and also by peoples inability to actuate the clutch pedal properly. Once the clutch is fully broken in however, you will not get any chatter of any kind. If you hopped in my car right now, you would be hard pressed to tell that it even has an aftermarket clutch.

looking at the Kc great price.. looking at a RAM an ACT and a Zoom. Zoom in my dodge is great 6 puck kevlar with a 2800lb plate and a fidanza wheel.. it doesnt slip under 25+ psi of boost with well over 35k on it with multiple track runs. it does chatter a little but its typical for such a unit.

more i look at it i think my stang had a Kc in it already. Flywheel and plate are torched tho too many hot suppers before i owned it. felt fine tho... grabbing this explorer 5.0 up 2morrow, ill have to make a decision.

Adder i wish i had seen you selling that car before i bought this pos i got.. im from Taunton, Ma. Smithfield isnt that far. shit im pissed, your car is about 3k more than i paid but id have coughed it up!

Chatter would be ok.... blowing apart into pieces is not.

Yeah.... I was looking at them for down the road. I am probably going to go with something else.

Thanks for all the heads up on this - reps.
