Since I don't mind threadjacking... What's involved in getting my wife's tire's (it's a '99) out a little farther, and what would you recommend. How big of a spacer can I use without longer studs, or adapters with studs. I'm guessing only 1/4 inch, but I think 3/4" per side would look better.

you can use 1" or 1.5" I had 1" spacers with 17x9 wheels on my 2003 v6 and it came straight with the fender.

I wouldnt personally go much past 5mm on a floating spacer (not bolted on)

You can however go on A-DAPT-IT USA Wheel Adapters and order some spacers. Superb quality, made to order, and they are hub-centric IIRC (aids in vibration reduction)

I checked the rear its a 8.8". Is it worth it buying gt40 heads and intakes then porting them and getting a better cam or just getting the TFS kit?

The TFS kit will net you better gains for sure, then you'll have something better to build off of if you stroke someday.
