can my stock motor handle this??

wondered what the stock block can handle.

I have the V-3 SI Vortec with power pipe, BBK headers/x-pipe and exhaust, along with new distributor and plug wires.

Wondered if I put trick flow head/cam/intake to go along with what I have will it handle it or would i need to do something more?

All depends on how much boost you're running. And it depends on if your block was a good one or a not so good one. The FAIR number is 500RWHP...Some break at 300RWHP and some last at 550RWHP. All depends. If you have a conservative tune with that setup, you'll have quite the streeter

well hopefully i have a good block. its a 90 so at least its forged pistons. i know its not been beat up as it was my dads car before mine.

also, with that kind of set up, or just the vortec im running now, what gears would be too much? 3.55 or 3.73? dont want to do nothing but spin the tires, can do that now. didn't know if i could put those gears and have a good running car that still kinda hooks up

youll be fine, as long as your boost isnt insane, the 5.0 has perfect compression for a lil boost anyways
