From whatever cars they have there. They always have several each of V8 late 80's mustangs, f-150's and I think crown vics as well. Most of the stuff of all makes they have is in that late 80's/early 90's era so finding a 87-92 5.0 should not be too tough. Is a Mustang V8 of that era preferable to one out of say a F150? I'd be changing the cam, intake and exhaust either way but did the trucks of those years get lower CR pistons or different heads? I would like to know what I can all pull from so I can look for one with reasonable mileage that looks like it was hit in the back or side and written off. Did the 5.0's come with moly rings from the factory or regular cast rings?

If you are going to be changing the cam intake and exhaust, pull a motor out of the explorer, that way you will have the gt40 heads and intakes...
