buying a foxbody


im buying a foxbody in the next month or two (or i should say going to try) anyways i was wondering, can you guys give me your idea of what a good price would be around for a nice 89-93 foxbody and if theres any problem areas that i should make sure are ok?

but seriously, front shock towers, rear wheel wells, door sills, bottoms of the doors, floor pans, door hinge areas, torque boxes, rear bumper mounting area

Depends on the car and where you live as to the amount of rust. Usually the hatch is one of the first places for rust as well as door bottoms. Again, the more you pay initially for the car, the less rust you should have. 2 to 3 grand should get you a basically rust free car.

ya honestly the enitre car, when i bought mine i new it had rust but not nearly as much as it actually did when i dug into it to replace floors and add new suspension stuff.... looking back i probably shouldnt have bought it but oh well its still a blast

Look for rust under the car . Also, check the underhood wiring, if it looks like a hacked rats nest then find another car. Chances are that if someone couldn't handle some simple wiring then what else did they butcher ?
