The engine doesn't get used to it. Starting with a smaller amount won't make anything last longer. In all honesty, 150hp is a small amount of nitrous. Stock initial timing is 10 degrees btdc. Most people run 14-16 degrees btdc. With 100hp of nitrous you don't need to retard any timing. Just run 92 or higher octane fuel. With 150hp I'd pull 2 degrees out.

Will the factory fuel system be able to handle that much? Also, what about the spark plugs? Should he drop 1or2 steps colder?

These are questions I think need to be answered... For me and 351...

I run a dry 75 shot on my fox w/ the stock fuel pump. It is fine with 75 but when I go to the 100 shot you can feel the car fall on its face around 5k cause its running out if fuel, before that its an animal but not safe. Definitly upgrade the fuel pump, I plan on doing mine soon.

The stock fuel system might handle it but I'd put a 255lph pump in to be safe. The NOS 05115-ii kit comes with an inline pump too. With 150hp and less you don't need a colder heat range with stock compression.

Wet kit or not doesn't matter, I would upgrade the fuel system. Like I said in my previous post pull 2 degrees out with 150hp which would put your initial timing at 14 degrees instead of 16 degrees.

Do a volume check, unbolt the a/n fitting from the fuel side of your plate. install the fuel jet, put the fuel line with a jet into a container. start the car, Avtivate the fuel side only!!! solenoid, while it is on check the fuel pressure for dropoff.
