does my 1/8 mile time sound right

Reaction. .4664
60 ft. 2.3634
330 ft. 6.4444
1/8 et 9.6413
1/8 77.95 mph

90 gt 3.55 gears, gt40 intake, MAC shorty headers, bbk h pipe, flowmaster cat back, conical filter, some kind of svo heads, msd plug wires, electric fan. Not timed right yet.

Does the time sound right or do I suck at shifting, lol?

The 60 ft time is a bit off. You can easily pick up 3/10s right there. You should be around 2.0 even on stock tires. Practice your launch technique and you'll be rewarded with almost a 1/2 second improvement in your 1/8. Good luck .

Your 60 ft is whats killing you. You might want to consider some drag radials for the track! With your heads, intake, etc. I would also think your MPH would be a little higher!

Invest in a set of some old ten hole wheels, throw some 235 drag radials on it and launch that bitch! Really though, you can cut your 60' by a decent amount.

If you want to get a better 1/8 th mile time first thing you should do is pop this CD into your stereo and play this song. It works 9 out of 10 times. just my opinion though

went to the track last week. have the 295-45-17 mt et streets in the back. helped a little, but i still cant stop the wheelspin. ive been too cheap to change my control arms. i want to run the 1/4, i feel like my car will do better, but the track is kind of far.

with 295 wide et streets there should be no reason you can't hook with your mods.

what was the tire pressure? how long did you smoke the tires?

you sure your not spinning only one wheel, which could cause the wheel spin?

your 60 is better, but seems like your 8th mile and mph times are a little high I think for your mods

I havent checked the pressure, but it might be too high. i dont powerbrake it, i just floor it after the water and spin them till i get to the line. the positive traction does work because both tires will smoke( unless its my exhaust, lol).i dont dump the clutch, i just take off on the third yellow light. i wish i could practice dumping the clutch but i have to wait in line about an hour for each run, so its kind of hard to actually try different stuff if i only run it once or twice. it feels good improving just a little everytime i go, though

Try driving around the water and the heating them up a little bit more. Just until you start to see smoke coming from the tires. Angle one of your sideview mirrors at the tire so you can see when they just start to smoke. 302army is right. You should have no problems hooking with your mods and those tires. I think they're still too wet when you launch from going through the waterbox and not heating them up and cleaning them off enough.

hell drop them to 20 psi, drive AROUND the water box, and spin them over as much as you can up to the line, and they should still hook no problem with your mods

If you just want an idea of your power, it's your MPH you want to look at. Which will be roughly the same if you hook or don't.

I ran a 8.7something with a shitty 2.0something 60'er with a one wheel peel (Trac lok is fucked) and nitto 555r's. Need to figure out how to launch that baby. Try heating the tires up more and shift faster.
