I think what Hatch was getting at was to stroke it too. I would if I were you and the budget allowed. MOST h/c/i setups are only going to net you 350 to 425 horse at the crank on a 302, with the 425 being spendier heads and usually higher rpm. Stroked, and that number get much larger.

ya, i kinda want to stay on a budget. i still need cams for my 09 and i need to get megan something for christmas that will compare to a fox.

i plan on getting out of the army after this deployment so i probably will only have a limited income this time next year.

so what about carbs? or should i go EFI and what all is involved in that?

Yeah i say EFI all day long just make sure you do it right with wiring etc, and yea imma have to agree again i wish my girl was into cars but even if i mention changing my oil she has a fit lol, however again off topic but thanks for doing what you do
