Ok I have a question then I was thinking about buying a set of BBK tuned Shorties for my 1993 mustang GT 5.0 I don't have any motor work done as of yet but it has BBK cold air intake, MSD distributors. Was planing on installing BBK SSI intake and 75mm throttle body...... would I see a difference with the tuned headeders?

I am going to put my 2 cents in about headers and my experience. Some of this is reiterating, but look at it as another comfirmation. With stock motor with simple bolt on's, the gain is going to be very minimal, but there will be a gain. Once you change your stock h pipe out and catback, the gain from the header portion will increase, albeit minimal. Once you start increasing the airflow on the intake side, the gains on the exhaust side will improve. It has been my experience that aftermarket headers will not change the sound enough on their own, but in conjunction with a better flowing full exhaust, that is where you will see most of your sound change. And of course that's mostly from the muffler selection. Long tubes will give you the best gain, but you have to change your mid pipe at the same time. If you have a different h or x already, you have to weigh out your options against your build plan to decide if you are willing to spend more money twice. You may want to cut your losses on the h or x, and buy the longtube/midpipe set up now. You have to decide how far you are going to go with this car. I currently have bought exhaust twice for my car, and it's cuz I cheaped out the first time. If you are planning on staying only around 3 to 350 horse, maybe shorties are for you. They are easier to install for sure. Looking at the stock pinched tubes is more than enough reason to change them out... aftermarket heads or not. Now you just have to decide how far you want to go.
And to Predator, do a search on that BBK SSI intake before you buy... you may reconsider from what I've read. I have no personal experience, but others have had issues. And if "tuned shorties" means equal lenth, f- that and just get long tubes. Equal length shorties are a stupid waste of time and a headache.

Yea I was talking g about the equal length Shorties I have a $1000 exhaust system already under the car don't want to cut it up for long tube headers.. what kind of problem are they having on the SSI intake? Then what's the best out there with the best gains?

Predator - if you do a quick search in this section, you will find the issue. It's something to do with the fuel rails leaking where they connect from side to side. Even if they didn't have that issue, it surely wouldn't be the best with the best gain. The best with the best gain is undoubtedly going to differ on a case by case basis. There is no one perfect answer for you. I personally like Trickflow products. If I didn't already have a nitrous plate for the street/track intake on my car, I would be switching to the TFS-R intake. That intake, the holley systemax 2, or edelbrock victor jr. If you want the BEST, I'd say a single plane carb style intake machined for fuel injection with a throttlebody adapter and 90 degree elbow.
