Check your motor mounts, they may be sagging or not lined up correctly.

You can tighten one side higher or lower than the other, if that's what you are asking.

BBK usually doesn't have issues fitting so if they're not fitting, either the car's tweaked or the mounts are shot. There is a chance it's the headers but it's not likely. You can try to bolt the mounts down while it's jacked up and see what happens, but if it doesn't work it's probably your mounts.

my BBK equal shorties rub on the steering rod as well. they rubbed when i bought the car in march, and they still rub after i swapped on a set of solid mounts. i havent had any problems with it though.

But aren't solid mounts shorter...?

im sure the stock mounts were shot at the time, but the steering rod had a nice smooth groove from the headers worn into it, and contact is still made with the solid mounts. ill eventually be swapping a 351w into the car, with longtube headers and everything, so im not to concerned about it now.

What I meant was, that if the mounts are shorter, you would be closer to the rod, unless you knew what I meant. Then just disregard
