green stuff pads are better... What roads are you on that have 100+ speed limits. I've never taken mine over 55

I'm 17 every road is 100+ J/K I rarely go those speeds because I'm scared a deer will jump out in front of my car or something but In this case I was trying to impress a girl. I'm not familiar with green stuff pads?

Im getting the Hawk hp pads myself. Herd so much good things about both brands. So either one is good. Is a bigger rotor a good investment guys?

The largest rotors and best pads in the world won't make up for poor judgement. I'm not attacking you but PLEASE drive responsible. It only takes a split second for something to happen ( that's how my brother's gf at the time ended up with a broken neck and in the hospital for 6 months and had to wear a halo for the longest time ). FWIW I've got stock 86 4 cyl brakes ( which are much worse then even 87 -93 4 cyl brakes which are in turn worse then your 5.0 brakes ) and my 9 sec car stops from 136 mph ok, not great but ok so take that for what it's worth.

More important that just putting new pads and rotors on, is flushing the brake fluid.
When is the last time it was done?? Supposed to be every 2 years, but its the most over looked fluid in the car.

Do a good flush, THEN new pads/rotors, and your car will stop like a MOFO!

i went over everything in my 88 hatch after i bought it. brake fluid is one thing i changed right away, and it made a big difference. in the next coming weeks, im installing hawk hps pads, with powerslot rotors. brake fade while slowing from 120mph is not fun.
