new combo!!! best cam???

hi, a buddy of mine is getting his car carbed and he is getting rid of a BBK SSi intake with TB and Trickflow track heat ported heads, i guess that would really wake up my engine!! so as you see i have a FRPP X cam, outdated i know but it gives a killer sound, but i want to get all the potential of my 5.0, so wich cam would you suggest??? the meaner the sound the better

91 GT Explorer Ported Intake, X303, Edelbrock Performer Heads ported and polished, 1.6rr, 75mm TB, 76 C&L MAF 24lb injectors, spec 2, MGW, MSD 6AL coil wires cap and rotor, 3.73

Earson cams have some lower 500s lift cams with some really outragous duration for that rumble pants, race car soound.

To get the max out of any combo a custom cam is the only way to go. Im not saying you cant achieve the same results with an off the shelf cam but you really have to know what you are doing. For the $100 or so extra for a cam designed by someone who truly knows whats going on, its well worth it and it takes all the guessing out of the equation. JMO
I went to Ed Curtis at FTI for the cam and valvtrain setup for my combo and I am extremely happy.

Leroy's house of custom cams and maple syrup. They grind the best cams out of anyone. I know for a fact, because they told me that.
