If i remember correctly the 3.8L mustangs had a different K-member which doesnt really work for v8 swaps. Dont know if there is a company that makes mounts to correct for it otherwise youll need to start with a whole new kmember.

Might be better to just trade up to an 4.6 or 5.0 Stang.
Eliminate the headaches.

i just got done doing the swap to mine so i can help you out i had a 1997 3.8 and i swapped it to the 5.0 just because that motor is easy to mod and a very simple motor
Youll need a lot of parts off a 1994 or 1995 5.0 mustang to do the swap

motor wiring harness
battery wiring harness
and the main wiring harness that goes to your computer
youll need the 5.0 motor
bell housing fly wheel and a clutch none will work from the v6 except the starter

you can use your v6 rad and electric fan

youll need to get the 5.0 mass air

and thats about all i needed to do mine you actually swap you v6 motor mounts onto the v8 and you put them on oppositie sides and it will mount perfect as weird as that sounds

but before you do anytihng you need to look up whats trans you have or you might have to get one

what k member you have or you might have to upgrade that

and eventually you will have to put a 8.8 rear in cause v6 come with 7.5 mine laster me about 3 months till i blew it out but i was really hard on it so if you babied it around the v6 rear will last you if you dont have money for it right off the start

So the easiest thing to do would prolly be to find a wrecked 1994-1995 mustang and buy it and just pull all the parts from it or try to find a complete set with everything you need cause piecing together can get very irritating

let me know if you have any questions

i forgot to mention that you need to see if you have the t5 trans or the t45 trans cuase the t45 trans wont mount up to the 5.0
luckily my car had the t5 trans when i got it and the v8 k memeber
i was told by a ford guy that 1996 1997 1998 year v6 mustangs could be found with mis match v8 parts some had v8 k memebers some have t 5 trannys it was hit or miss like ford just put in whatever they felt like that day
