First Mustang
I just bought a 1993 GT Mustang with 91,000 original miles only paid $3,500 its in very good shape.. no dents or paint flaking or rust.. looking for ideas
The good: BBK cold air intake under drive pulleys King Cobra stage 2 clutch Eibach 2" lowering springs control arms 4" cowl hood Cobra front clip The bad: Needs T-5 rebuilt second gear secro is bad Needs electric fan installed to replace old fan has 308s thinking about swapping them back to the 373 I was thinking about swapping the T-5 for the T-56 what do y'all think?

looks good replace the flowmasters tho. they are they most restrictive performance muffler and plus everyone and there sister has flowmasters. be different you know. and either rebuild the t5 or get a tk0500 or tk0600 the t56 is good and its nice to have a 6th gear but you have to modify and change alot in order to use it.

T-56 6 speed ftmfw
If your not agains going auto then stick this sucker in with some 4:10 or 4:55 gears with a high stall and some drag radials Last edited by 91cobra5.0; December 8th, 2010 at 08:54 PM. |

nice car... not a fan of the one piece head lights but the car is clean.
if you have the money and the time or someone that has the knowledge willing to lend a hand def go with the t56 it's a nice trans.. I did a t56 swap in my 91gt and love it. |

What gears are u running with the T-56? And what's your rpm at 70mph? Did it increase your mileage?
