i had a friend of mine that had a cobra clone 5.0 look my car over, he said it looks stock except for the intake. he said something about the fuel rail but i forget what he said about it.

anyways, i'm happy with the power it has for now. i'll look into a moderate h/c/i setup later down the road.

for now, i wanted to get some opinions/ideas for exhaust. i searched around on youtube to check some sound clips out, but i'm sure there are brands i didnt see or find. i want something with a more unique and tuned kind of sound compared to something loud just to be loud. throw some names out i might not be familiar with already guys, thanks for the input!

Look around first. There is a very limited selection of four bolt rims for Fox bodies. Those cobra clones are the better looking of the bunch in my opinion. They look a little better overall with some bigger tires like maybe a 245/50 or 45 or when the car is lowered a little bit.

Post some engine bay pics, we can tell you what is stock and not.

As for the exhaust, you'll have a hard time finding something unique for a fox body, it's all been done many times over for years

i'm gonna keep my wheels for now. 3 of them look pretty much perfect, and ill replace the 1 with the chunk with my spare - which has a little rash.

can anyone school me on headers? i'm searching around and reading, but some of the info is a little old so i think there might be newer products without clearance issues?

not looking for anything expensive, just some that will work without problems for a decent price. i think i like the magnaflow sound for the price after going thru sound clips. i did like the bassani but dont feel the need to spend that much on exhaust.

car looks pretty good man! I think the rims look fine, it looks odd with the lower profile tires and its not lowered but it's all good. Engine pics please!

ok guys, new issue with the car - i noticed it before but wanted to see if it would fix itself / go away kinda thing and it hasnt. my speedo is wonky. when i hit 35-40ish mph it will jump up to 70ish or so and kinda bounce around there. it will only catch again once i hit 80ish plus or when i come to a stop.

my front wheels arent balanced yet, but i didnt think that was directly related to the speedo. and its not really a big deal except that its putting more miles on the odo than its actual putting on. which again isnt a major issue, just more annoying - until i go over my insurance yearly miles on accident or something.

i would like to get an aftermarket tach and speedo, but i have other things on my list higher before those so if i could fix the speedo it would be great for now. any help is greatly appreciated as always guys - i'm still a brand noob to these cars but excited to learn as much as possible as fast as possible

You need a new speedo cable... 99% of the time that is the issue. If not, it's the gauge. You could try to relube the cable, but I'd rather just replace it and be done!

Yeah, definitely replace the speedo cable make sure you lube the new one good so it doesn't bounce as well....

As far as wheels I think it would look sick with some black 03 cobras!!

i just did a 3rd gear pull from about 1900rpm 30mph

my speedo cable is wonky hence that jump from 40 to 60 it took but it catches again around 60+

still unsure how stock my car is tho, if anyone can comment on my 3rd gear pull it would be appreciated.

i need a mount so i dont have to hold the cam and the wheel at the same time
