my first FOX! 93 GT

finally picked it up yesterday!!!!

was a mechanic owned car, motor was pulled sealed and rebuilt 6 months ago, so was the trans, clutch, and rear end - has gears. interior is a little rough. paint looks decent from 10 feet, has a couple chips in it (you can see 1 in the pic) and body has a couple dings but nothin major.

first on the list is wheels + tires - these 17s are beat up, 1 has a big chip

next might be a short shifter - i'm not sure if it has 1 yet or not.

the mechanic's dad handled the sale as the kid moved to a snowy state. i had a friend of mine thats a mechanic and former fox owner look it over and test drive it. he approved of it and said it felt real strong. the dad says the kid rebuilt it for performance but didnt know details. i'll dyno it some time next year to see how strong it actually is.

She mostly stock then? Mileage on car? Details, man, give us details...

Snowy states suck! I just got done snowblowing for 4 hours. Mine, and neighbors on both sides. Blizzard dropped over a foot of snow on us

i dunno the exact details yet. ive got some digging to do.

i know it has gears. was told the motor was built stronger than stock using oem and ford racing parts only.

motor was pulled sealed and rebuilt 6 months ago, along with clutch, gearbox, and rear end.

thanks every1 for the welcome here! while looking for a fox to buy i searched the internet for a cool forum. i liked this 1 and stangnet the best so those are where i will be active.

my camera phone pic makes the car look cleaner than it is. its not bad, but its a mechanics style car. go before show. i do love the color, and the paint is good enough for now but it was a quick respray. and i can see the car was sprayed a couple times. it looks like it was originally red, then some1 sprayed it purple-blueish and now its this awesome grey.

my interior needs work and i'll get to it when i can. if there are any car audio guys for foxes i'd like to bounce some Q&A off you about it. not looking to do anything crazy but i need new speakers and want to know about some options.

planning on seats and a steering wheel asap, and also a mgw shifter. i'm not a fan of airbags especially on older cars so its near the top of my list of cheaper cool things to do.

Looks clean. I would do the tint to get rid of the purple one. And if you do, never clean them with windex, use something that is tint safe, if not it will turn purple

anything without amonia, amonia is what makes it purple and it will stink like hell when you remove it....haha

Nice ride man, congrats, get some pics of under the hood and maybe we can tell you some of whats done to it.

it looks stock aside for a k&n filter - which i plan to replace with a oil-less filter.

but the mechanics parents who handled the sale both say the mechanic kid rebuilt the motor with more power than stock, using ford and ford racing parts.

normally i'd be skeptical as shit, like i'm sure every1 here is lol. but the people that sold it to me were awesome and real honest, the things they didnt know they didnt lie about and disclosed all the issues with it.

either way, if its stock or slightly better than stock, i'm happy for now. ill get it on a dyno at some point to have a better idea of what its making.

Thats a sick fox you got right there. Even with the paint dings and chips, it still looks really clean. If I lived somewhere that didn't really see winter I would probably have bought a fox over what I have.
