Both Stock Springs are IN the 91 fox body. We put a strap around the spindle, just for safety, didn't really need it but I felt better. We used 2 jacks and got the control arm up. It took a little bit of prying, but we slid the bolts in. We did however, drop the engine back into the car, just resting on the motor mounts. That was easier than devising a strap system to hold the chassis down. It could be done with no engine in the car, but it's not worth trying to hold the car down.
We got stock springs installed in a fox body without any compressor. Done safely. The first side took a while, the second side took 20 minutes. Piece of cake. Sometimes I just think too much. It's all good and the project continues.

THANK YOU

word! Good job! I was going to suggest dropping it into place but I didn't want to be a simpleton - I thought the plate Idea would have worked but that would have cost more time an money than ploppin a hunk of iron back in it.

Yes. The wheels are back on and I might just leave the motor in there anyway. All I have left to get out is the pilot bearing. Everything else is done on the motor anyway. I actually got 2 birds with one stone, so to speak.
Those new spring insulators sure are noisy, I wonder if that'll go away?

are they squeaking? Are they urethane? I know urethane stuff has been known to make noise. Maybe coat them with a bunch of liquid wrench.... I doubt you'll want to take them out to put grease on them. I ran my springs without insulators before I went with coil overs. You get a little road noise through them but no annoying squeak.

Yeah, it's a dull sounding squeak, I don't think you'll hear it inside the car but you can hear it when you push on it. I'll spray 'em up with something. Yes, they're eurethane.

Hahaha, the car has a radio block off plate but that's exactly what I said. "Guess I'll have to put a radio in it".
