We run E85 in my son's 87 LX Notch 427w bracket racer. And I am building a 89 LX turbo street/strip car to run on E85.

If you are using it on a stock or near stock 5.0, you could get by with a bigger injector & matching mass air and bigger fuel pump. E85 required aprox. 30% more fuel. If you are running a 19 Lbs injector and add 30% to that, it comes out to 24.7, so a 24 Lbs. injector should do the trick.

On my Turbo car, I'm running twin Walbro 255 pumps, -10 feed & -8 return lines, with 96 Lbs injectors!

Here is a good article on converting.

Is there any benefit to running/ converting to e85?

I've run it in my 2010 f-150. feels like it has more power, but mileage is almost cut in half! I was also told the more you run it, the more maintenance you have to do on your vehicle.

I've run it in my 02 Tahoe with a Hypertech programmer on the 87 octane setting, though I did contact Hypertech first. He said it would be fine on 87 tune, but not the 93 even though the octane rating is much higher, something to do with the tune. I only lost about 4 mpg from 17, but when I changed my plugs, they did look kinda lean. So I aborted that and just run gas now.
