89 GT Cup Holder Center Console

Hi guys, I just bought the center console cup holder for an 89 Mustang GT from 50resto.com. I assumed installation would be self explanatory but it's not. None of the screw holes line up with the original plate off the bottom of the original console cover. Does anyone know if this cover screws directly to the hinge? And might anyone have a schematic or instructions on exactly how this is supposed to go together? The part number on the package is correct. There's a distinct possibility my friends and I are just idiots and overlooking the obvious. Here's a link to the part I purchased.
1990-92 Mustang Center Console Arm Rest Cup Holder, Titanium Gray by Classic Consoles at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

Please help, there's 346 nickels in it for whoever helps me solve this dilemma.

Thanks

Didn't you know that the factory cup holder is between the passanger seat and the e-brake? And you just adjust the lumbar for 'tightness' on your beverages, lol. What does the bottom of that look like? Does it have the button for the latch on it, or any latch?

Hahaha, Fastang that's what I've been using! Anyway I saw that it said it attaches to the factory hinge but that just seemed so hokey, however I am beginning to think you are correct. Mounted directly to the hinge it wouldn't latch closed or anything and would bounce up and down. Anyway thanks and any more suggestions would be welcome.

95TBird I checked on that and the salesperson at 50resto assured me that was just a color thing. He was positive the interiors from 87-93 were identical.

the interior colors are different 87-89 smoke gray 90-92 were Titanium Gray and 93 Opal Gray. Now latemodelresto may only sell one color but you may have to dye it to get it to match
