radiator overflow tube broken

Ok, so the "low coolant" light just lit up on my 91. I checked the basics and found that the little tube in the overflow resivoir has broken off and is sitting on the bottom of the container. To get the tube out I will be unbolting the bottle and flip it upside down to shake out the tube. Anyhow my question is this: can I use any type of tube to replace the broken one? Where the tube is connected onto the cap there is a wire connector and I am assuming this is where the coolant level sensor is located. The tube is pushed up onto this nipple thing that has a metal tab inside it.

Can u go to your local autozone or ect. and extend the piece that broke off? If not i dont see that piece being that expensive.

They usually just end up failing. I have always had them unplugged in all my fox's.

ok. I will disconnect it and if that light on the dash goes off then I will leave it at that. If not then I will extend the hose. thanks all.
