Speed Density VS MAF

I have heard that modding and engine with the speed density set up will actually slow the car down. Any truth behind this? Is the MAF system the best way to go hands down?

MAF for sure. Too many mod.s on a speed density setup and you'll wind up with your ride not acting worth a damn. Definitely if you plan on more than just a few simple bolt-ons go ahead and upgrade to MAF.....it'll be worth it.

No, that is totally false. You can run into idle problems with aftermarket camshafts if you have a factory Ford speed density system. Alot of aftermarket EFI systems are speed density. If there was an issue with it being worse than mass air systems everyone would be using mass air, which isn't the case.

You will need a chip burned for it to run properly. This is the problem with speed density you have to have a chip burned when you do upgrades to it to compensate for most parts that are better than stock.
