302 Engine Rebuild Kit


looking to rebuild my 95Gt. Just reached 100k miles and want to rebuid before i purchase all new h/c/i. Looking for the best bang for my buck rebuild kit.

Any one know of some?

Stroking is not in my plans. Just looking to rebuild my 302 with stronger/better parts then stock.

you could get Scat I beam rods for under 200 bucks from Summit that are good to 750hp and a Summit 5.0 rebuild kit with forged pistons for 530
bucks.you could reuse the stock crank should be fine for what you need.
What horsepower are you shooting for?The stock block can handle between 450-500hp.

300hp shudnt be too hard

get an exhaust and get heads for it, u can get gt-40 heads or go crazy and get twisted wedge heads. camshaft, intake, ud pullies.

shud be up there

Yeah, I know it wont be hard to get the hp. Befor i do all of that i want to rebuild the engine

umm 50resto.com has engine kits for gaskets and the whole engine

Are you just talking about a gasket set? Felpro has a good one. It is like $60 or so bucks for it. Maybe a little more, don't quote me. call autozone and tell them to price one for you.

I know where there is a 306 forged kit. You would need to bore yours out .030.

I can give you the link if you are interested, or hell just check corral.net...There are alot more sellers on there. I think the guy wants $350 for them.
