Sway Bar End Links

i searched and googled this, and im pretty sure i have my answer, but i want to double check with you guys.

im redoing to suspension in my 88 Hatchback GT with Eibach Pro-Line Kit, Strange Adjustable Struts/Shocks, and Team Z rear suspension kit.

im working on the front end right now, and aside from having a hard time installing the new springs, everything is going fine. my question lies with the sway bar end links. currently i have Energy Suspension end links, but just stock replacement.

since im lowering the car approx 1.5", i need to install shorter end links to maintain good/proper suspension geometry correct?

could i simply measure and cut the sleeve on the end link to make up for the lowering springs, so that the sway bar arm stays parallel with the end link, or should i buy a new end link set?

also, any tips for installing the Eibach Springs in the front? i cannot imagine a way to do it easily, and my spring compressors wont fit into the already confined spaces.

using this site for reference: Front Sway Bar End Links & Bushings

Wow... Okay, i didnt even know you had to change the end links when you lowered the car. I thought as long as it wasnt any lower then 1 1/2" that the springs were all you needed. Well now i know that it should be done

you dont NEED to, but it certainly helps get the car handling better.

Pull a-arm down, put spring in, jack under spring, jack it up, fully extend strut, bolt in

Maximum Motorsports.com!

they sell shorter swaybar endlinks, 20 bucks (i just bought and got mine)

when u go 1.5 inches or lower up front u want to use shorter swaybar endlinks

here is why: u slam the front real low ok, what happens to ur swaybar is, it rotates up because the endlinks connected to the A arms are not on a downward angle or even flat. they are probably on an upward angle, having the A arms sit like this pushes the endlinks up which rotates they swaybar. and that effects the fucntion of the swaybar

Bringing this back up because I'm looking for some end links now. I have eibach drag launch springs going in and I don't know which sway bar set to get as they are all different sizes and each on says they all fit. Already got an engery suspension one and sent it back because it was too short, and much shorter compared to my stock end link.

Help me out guys!
