removing the smog pump


if u taake the smog pump off of a 00-04gt will it set a dtc.??? and is it jus as simple as taking the smog pump off of an 89gt

are you still running cats? if so you risk destroying them. the air that is pumped to them is to help burn hydrocarbons left in your exhaust with out the extra air they will have a hard time doing so and will eventually clog. and you will probably get a check engine light with catalyst efficency codes. as for the removal of the pump its self i have no idea.
