holley intake


ive got an 89 gt tht is stock right now, ima about to order my holley systemax2 intake manifold and a 70mm throttle body and 1.6 rocker arms, ive got 3.73 gears and full exhaust,..wht kinda power to the wheels do u think i'd be making... ive also got a jet perfomance chip.
this is all temporary, after i put those on im goin to start saving for a 331 or a 347 stroker, havent decided yet but im gonna get a custom cam and i want to run a supercharger with maybe about 10 psi... what kinda heads should i b looking into with this set up??

A custom cam would be a great idea.Afr 185 heads work really good and
would be perfect for a stroker and would work good for a 302.

I highly suggest using studs for at least two of the mounting bolts for that upper intake. The hole just behind the distributor and the one under the throttle body. Clearance to the driver side valve cover is close as well, stock valve covers will be fine, anything 1/2 inch or more larger and it will be very tight. Holley does not suggest using a spacer either but I think I saw someone selling one.

Yes, there is about 1/2 inch of space between the upper intake and the drivers side valve cover..

does the intake manifold come with the gaskets for it or will i hav to buy them seperately??

Mine was not originally bought by me so I don't know. I did recently replace them all though.
I got the BBK-1572 kit for my TB, EGR, IAB, and EGR spacer and HLY-108-80 for the upper to lower intake gasket from Summit.
