88 gt problems

Well I haven't posted in here in a long time, but i'm in need of some help. I just recently purchased an 88gt. From what i can tell, it has the stock sd ecu. Explorer intake, bbk 70mm tb, bbk shorties, off road h-pipe.

What it's doing is running like total crap. I replaced the dist with a new msd dist, a msd coil, new plugs, new wires. And it's still doing it. I pull the plugs and there flooded with gas.

This is when i noticed it has 30# injectors in it. Would this cause the flooding problem?

i know the 30# injectors are to big. But would those injectors on a stock sd ecu cause it to flood

If it doesn't have a chip burnt for the 30's, get them out of there. IT WILL NOT RUN RIGHT! Speed density will not adjust for those.

You should be able to find 19 lb injectors all over. Hell, I throw mine away. I wouldn't buy new unless you really want to. If you upgrade your heads to anything better than a gt40, you'll need 24, and then mass air or a tune. So you'd essentially be buying them twice. Search ebay, or ask on here if anyone has any laying around that you can get for next to nothing.

You can always try the junkyard too. 19's were in so many different ford cars and trucks. If you know you have 30's (red top) then I'm sure you already know you'd be looking for yellowish/orangish top ones.

^^ lol what a doucebag.. but anyways put a want add on craigslist in your area for 19lb mustang injectors and you'll get a set for $20 or go to a junkyard and get them even cheaper just make sure the pintle caps are intact.

It was the last part where you said it sounds like a lot. It seemed smartass. I apologize if it wasn't. It just came across that way.

well more problems, I picked up a set of injectors from my uncle. And I think there bad, they did look kinda old. Well I put em in and now it will idle better, no flooding of the plugs, but it won't run worth a damn. It won't rev over 2500rpms, it won't pull the car, it just all around feels like a slug. Plus now it's over heating. I was out there messing with it and a few times it seemed like it got a kick in the ass and would rev to 5000. But then it would drop back down.
