Noob needs help with MAF.

Ok, so this is my first post on modded mustangs, so bare with any of my idiocy. I've tried to search but im kind of coming up baffled. I have an 86' GT which used to have a MAF conversion done. But as of right now there is no harness. I've been told that it is hurting performance. As of right now, is my car just using Speed density? What do i need to get the maf working. Do i need a new computer??? Sorry, for making a whole post but i seem to be coming up short. Here is a picture of the MAF and the "computer?". BTW, its on an AEM intake and im running 24lb. injectors.

the picture you posted of the computer does not show the catch code, so we cannot tell if it is a SD or MAF ECM.

A MAF car will not run in a "SD mode" by simply unplugging the maf. So if your car has a MAF ECM in it, and runs like sit... its because the maf needs to be... i say again... NEEDS to be plugged in.

Before i bought it (just recently), it had a maf conversion, but the seller wanted to take it off. He, i guess took off the harness, but forgot the maf? I definatley wouldnt say it runs like shit. It still runs 14s in the 1/4, and runs perfectly smooth, but it does have a little trouble idling consistently. So how do i know if the ECM is SD of MAF? Like, which catch codes should i be looking for??

the white sticker on the end of the computer will tell us alot. we need to know what code is on it. Should be a letter number letter like X#X

yup yup E6SF is a 1986 year produced piece. stock.

the 24# injectors are currently a root cause of your car running shitty

So id put the 19lb injectors on, or finish the mass air conversion. And with the mass air make sure your maf is calibrated to the 24lb
