would my block hold up? how much hp should i expect?

I was wondering if my stock block would hold up to everything i would like to add.

Currently i have Vortec S-trim V-3, BBK headers with x-pipe and flowmasters, and the smog eliminator kit. I put a new clutch in it and only got about 350miles on it before the winter came and now waiting for the snow to melt before i can get it dyno tuned, and actually find out what power its running currently.

Was thinking about trickflow cam, heads, and intake as well.

Would all of this work with my stock block or would that be to much power?

I wouldn't take a stock block over 500 crank/450 wheels. These blocks like anyone else will tell you are unpredictable some hold up to only 300 and some can go as high as 600 (Bet that one didn't last so long though lol!) How much boost do you want to run on that Vortech, what heads and intake are you going to run?

I believe im running around 8lbs and think trick flow was the way I wanted to go. Im not sure what im running now for HP as I havent got it final tuned or dynoed. Was wanting 500miles on the clutch first.

It will hold up fine as long as the tune is good. As it sits it is making about 300hp to the tire. With heads, cam and intake you will be looking at 450+.
