The car was tuned on friday. The car only made 7 psi. I guess My small filter and elbow were a little restrictive as well as taking in some serious heat and the car was pulling timing after the first run. It made 285rwhp cold then the numbers dropped to 245rwhp on the last run. Car still has stock headers, top end, throttle body, and everthing else. Just a shitty bbk hpipe and some flows so I was impressed.

Change of heart on the power pipe. It will be put on along with maybe some bbk shorties. Shootin for 320 or so with an extra 3psi.

sounds great, how much did the vortech setup cost? how is the install?

odd.

buddys car with a stock motor dyno'ed at 210, put on the procharger, think he was at 15lbs, made 380hp and 380trq. was a real beast to drive. lots of torque no matter where you stuck the throttle.


something fishy is going on with that set up. i know they get heat soaked, but damn, making almost no power when its hot

Huh? The car is on 7psi not 15 psi. That is a huge difference. The computer kept pulling timing on the dyno do to hot air. It wont make more then 7psi because the size of the filter.

With no power pipe and just an hpipe with flows these are great numbers considering it has no timing in it. Heat soak robs power, has nothing to do with what the car would dyno n/a. With 10 psi It will make 3 and change when it goes back to the dyno. An additional 5 psi on top of that I'd assume it would make 350 plus. How is that relevant though?

I just dont think 240rwhp with 7psi is normal, heat soaked or not, when the car is probably at 210rwhp with no blower.

$1700 with little odds and ends. You also have to get a 255 42lbers and a maf though. Install is cake. Anyone can do it.
