I'm looking at an 92 LX with 63000 miles on it. The car is imaculent! The motor only has 25k on it since the rebuild it has trick flow aluminum heads GT40 tubular upper and lower intake. Acufab TB and mass air and a Ford racing cam BBK springs and subframe connectors. Headers highe flow catted h pipe and flowmaster exhaust. he guy wants $7900 for it. Do yall think it's worth this? Thanks for the help.

I got one with pretty much the same stuff minus the catted h pipe and engine rebuild + a ton of other upgrades, 10k more miles, and minor dent on the pass side roof for 4k, and all the parts he had put on the car added up to 10k. It seems a little high to me. Motor rebuilds aren't that expensive as some one else on here has done it for somewhere in the 500 range with all parts and an old block he picked up included. Do you have any pics? It really comes down to how much is it worth to you.

The car is only worth what your willing to pay for it. I would check the engine out real good. Just because it was recently rebuilt doesn't mean it wasn't ragged on or even not put togther well.

According to the owner it's never been race, he said it never even been on a dyno. Of course I don't know for sure you have to trust that he is being honest. He is an older man so I feel comfortable he is being strait with me. The engine bay on this car is so clean you could eat off it! I've looked on eBay and the price is comparable to other cars.

Question here is how bad do you really want a Fox body??? They are fixer-uppers. They was the beginning of the 5.0 era also! I would personally do what i could to pick it up. But $7,900 is high for a car thats a workonit hotrod!! Shoot the guy an offer if he says no then tell him ok thanks and keep looking! Let time and money work. He will think about your offer.

I bought my first fox from an older man, and it was the biggest mess I could have possibly gotten. Not saying this one is, but just make sure you check it over real good, see if he will get it inspected, if it checks out shoot him a lowball offer so there is negotiating room.

What i want to know if the car only has 63000 miles on it but the engine has 25000 miles on it since it was rebuilt, does that mean that the engine needed to be rebuilt at 38000 miles.... Am i the only one that cought that. some thing not adding up, either that or you didnt exsplain your self right.

I think you are better off asking yourself why the car needed a motor rebuild at 38K. I'm gonna come right out and say that the car probably has 163k on it. My Tahoe still had no dents or dings on it and perfect interior other than some wear on the drivers seat when it was at 150k. 8000 is way too much.

Make the man a offer, worst he can say is no. I found a 91 LX and the guy was asking $3200 for. I made him a offer of $2000 he said no i said ok.2 weeks down the road he called me and said come get the car.

it is strange about the mileage. I have a 2002 vette with 30K on it. I am the orginal owner so I know everything about it. If I was to start modding it I wouldn't rebuild the entire engine. it's one thing to swap heads and a cam but to rebuild the entire engine doesn't ad up.

Yea I misrepresented it all the motor work was done 25000 miles ago. The whole motor wasn't rebuilt. It also has 3:55 gears and an aluminum drive shaft. It's pretty much perfect for what I'm looking for it just a little high. I think I'll shoot him a low number and see how he reacts to it. Thanks for all the help.

I mean it does look clean, but its a 4 cyl, and imo the worst color scheme ever. I had a straight red interior and I didn't like it too much. Its gonna be sitting for a lot longer until they come around to reality.
