Sweet deal! Rocker arm ?
I was killing time at Checkers today, in the performance section (this one is the main store for my city, so it's actually pretty big and has lots of stuff, like a mini speed shop) and they were selling off a few things pretty cheap that the guy said they decided to quit carrying. Long story short, I got one of those pillar gauge pods for both my mustang and my truck and a set of Crane Cams 1.6 ratio rocker arms for the stang. My grand total = $15.21 with tax. I about pissed myself. The list prices for each item added up to around 350 bucks, and the regular store prices added up to around 220, plus tax. I paid a $1.59 for each of the gauge pod things and 11 something for the rocker arms. They're not rollers or anything, but still. 11 bucks!
So, since I was never really intending on changing my stock rocker arms anytime soon, I don't know how these are gonna work out. I just couldn't pass up the price. They are made for my car, or more specifically the engine in my car. I just wanna make sure I won't have any clearance issues. Does anyone know? The engine is '74 302 from a Maverick. Its been taken thirty over and has a mild RV cam with stock heads. I'm not too sure on the cam specs. I didn't build the motor. I've been trying to get ahold of the guy that did to find out that info, but haven't had much luck so far. Will they pretty much just bolt on in place of the stock ones, or do I have to do some serious adjusting? Also, what kind of difference can I expect compared to the stock rockers? I know they're still on crappy stock heads, but it should be better than nothing. Usually I do a ton of research before buying parts like this, but this time it was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Thanks a lot in advance everyone.

Dammit. I looked up the part number on the Crane Cams website and it says they're the stock ratio. Can anyone verify that? If so, oh well... Its not like I spent the the 150 they wanted for them anyway...
Thanks guys Oh, heres the PN. 36800-16

OK. Thats fine. I think I'm still gonna change them out. They should be just a simple replacement of the old ones then, since they're the same ratio, right? Also, have you got any idea of what might be a good choice for new springs? I've been reading up on the subject, but there is a ton of crap to read...
